This is a reflection in  Poundstretchers (Hedley Young's )window.

Due for completion in December 2013it will most likely spell the demise of even more pubs in Blyth

Once the thriving Waterloo Road in the town of Blyth, now boarded up and full of "Money Shops"

Empty buildings going to waste.

I don't think the pretty flowers can detract from the mess that is Blyth Town Centre.
I must admit I never thought I would see the day that Northumbria House closed its doors.

This is Louise looking at some of the photographs I took for my FMP at college . She was  thrilled with them, especially the one of her mucky hands.

It was nice to be able to give something back after all the time I spent with these lovely people.
And the photographs I took are now a part of her history.

I found this photo on the council website. I'm on here somewhere in the middle after the presentation. And a name mention at the bottom of the page.

There should be more things like this going on in Blyth.
It would be a real boost for the town.

And a nice photo opportunity this weekend.

And this was right next to it,
                                                   Another photo opportunity perhaps ?

Snapshots of my Final Major Project

So this is the culmination of the past three months' work on my Final Major Project. The people of Blyth were so generous in giving me their time and being able to take their photographs was a great experience for me. It was important to have a sense of location and you will see this in the images here. Most people looking at this will recognise the faces. My influences for this were Vivian Maier,Lee Jeffries,Mik Critchlow and Jimmy Forsyth to name but a few.
